Charity Awarded Grant Towards The Northern Ireland Purple Poppy Memorial Project

We are pleased to announce that the Ancre Somme Association Charity has received a £2,500 grant towards the Northern Ireland Purple Poppy Memorial project.

The funds will cover both six-week blacksmithing and engraving courses facilitated by Moneypenny's Blacksmiths in Portadown. Interested individuals can express their interest by emailing info@asauk.org.

In addition to creating Northern Ireland's first memorial, honouring all animals that served from World War I to the present day, this project will develop an educational resource and host an exhibition showcasing artwork from children participating in the Purple Poppy Arts Project.

We extend our gratitude to Regenerate, especially David Martin, Project Officer, for their unwavering support of this initiative.

Donations to support the project can be made through the JustGiving link below.
